Niagara Region is postponing its annual curbside battery collection, which had been scheduled for April 20 to 24, due to COVID-19. Residents are encouraged to keep their batteries until a new date is announced.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Niagara Region has made several temporary changes to curbside waste collection to allow collection staff from Emterra and Canadian Waste Management to continue to focus on core services.

Residents who are in the gypsy moth aerial spray program spray blocks, and those adjacent to properties within the spray blocks, will receive letters indicating as much early next week.
The letters inform residents of pertinent information such as estimated timing of the program, the duration of the program, and how to learn more about the program online. A reminder to Pelham residents that all municipal buildings are closed, and on Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13, Town administrative operations will be closed for the Easter holiday. Emails and phone calls can be expected to be returned beginning Tuesday, April 14.
